The
school district consists of eight elementary schools, two
middle schools, one high school, one continuation school,
and one adult school. RBUSD was created on July, 1993. Unification
merged the former Redondo Beach City School District with
the South Bay Union High School District, (the former district
had served the community for more than 100 years) bringing
to the students of the city a comprehensive educational program
rich in tradition, covering preschool through 12th grade and
beyond.
